Please join us for a week-long Equinox trip to the Mojave with a 3-day solo. Most of you know about VQ and what time alone in the desert can do for you. Stepping away from your regular lives can be both calming and revolutionary at the same time. The alums we have already taken have found this to be a profoundly moving period. Aside from the solo itself, there is a lot of time in base camp spent among friends who share at least one thing: they all attended the same high school! |

We will all have our reasons for going. We will not be united in our “going off to college” or “entering adulthood” rituals. And so we will be listening to each other talk about LIFE as adults. Careers, relationships, kids, relocations, recalibrations, or just plain “time outs,” our conversations will likely embrace the myriad of changes in human lives, and that will be a VERY RICH experience for all of us. At the same time, there will be a focus on just YOU and what’s going on in your life. So you will be dancing between your solo time and your group time, with each supporting the other. |

Our trips start months before the solo. You will hear this call in in the spring or summer of 2019 sometime, and we send out little communications and paperwork over the ensuing months before our March departure. We like to move slowly so that you can plan and anticipate and take care of any matters that might nag at you while you’re in the desert. |

Below you will find a timeline of the trip, and what you need to do, and on what date you need you do it by: |

1. By September 21, 2019 : please let us know your INTEREST ONLY by Creating an Account for Approval to the Program
. We need 6-10 people to make this happen. |

2. By October 15, 2019 : the first 6-10 people who pay the $250 deposit AND the required essay (simultaneously!), the questions for which you can find on the deposit page or here, will be joining us in the desert. Howl!. |

3. By January 15, 2020 : please send us all your paperwork AND the balance of the fee. The “paperwork” consists of medical forms, release forms, etc, all of which are available on the website after you have paid the deposit. |

4. On Monday, March 9, 2020 : there will be a PRE-TRIP meeting before we go. We found this to be extremely helpful for everyone, not only socially as you get to meet the other participants, but also logistically to get all your questions answered. We met at someone’s house usually, so if you’d like to volunteer yours, please let us know. |

5. On Friday, March 20, 2020 : we will all meet at the trailhead and set up base camp. You will spend 2 days getting your desert legs, feeling the countryside, and selecting your solo spot. Early on March 18 , we will wake you up and send you on your way for three days. You will return then morning of March 21 (the Equinox!), with your buddy. We will stay in base camp the entire day as we tell and listen to stories about our experiences. |

6. On Friday, March 27, 2020 : we will pack up and leave to join the rest of the world. We will leave the site absolutely pristine, as if no one was ever there. |
